My Friends

In my life my friends have played and still play a key role. They have always been beside me, in private and in public - always supporting me.  

I have a Friend (with uppercase) that has marked me ethically and aesthetically, all my life. I mean of course Victoria de los Ángeles. 

Halldór Laxness. I read him as a teenager, I fell in love with him and his personality once I already was a grown-up. I met him when he was over 90 years old and enjoyed his and his wife's friendship.  

A faithful accomplice and friend with whom I've shared hours of friendship, work and diversion is Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.  

Victoria Vera, beautiful and enigmatic, an exceptional friend. 

Since I arrived to Spain, the doors of the house of Concha Marquéz Piquer and Ramiro Oliveros have been wide open for me. 

Mabel Karr has marked my life deeply. There's a before and an after, and in between a very happy time of friendship and complicity.   

One of the first friends with whom I connected when I arrived to Spain was Mariví Dominguín.

A funny anecdote is my wedding with Loreto Valverde...

As you may know she was the first female president in the world. I'm of course referring to Mrs. Maria Estela Martínez de Perón (Isabelita). 

One of my enjoyments is organizing gatherings at home, inviting my friends. 

I jumped to the pages of the society press through my friendship with María Jesús Llorente, a great friend with artistic tastes totally similar to mine.

I have to ask for forgiveness. Due to space or lack of photographic material, not all of my friends could be mentioned in this page. Many of my dear friends you can see in the presentations or other acts, since we're always together.

I want to thank, as always, all my friends from the press, who during over forty years have supported me in my career and in many other aspects of my life. I also have to thank them for a great deal of the photographic material that appears in this web.

The next step are my memoirs... Prepare yourselves because those will also be large!
