Social Life

This NGO is the one with which I most actively collaborate. I feel totally committed with its cause: the fight against AIDS.

I have performed "Puccini and the eternal feminine" in aid of this cause.

I donated the copyrights of the reediting of my Trilogy of Love and Death to them.

I have also presented events with my dear friend Nacho Duato (also voluntarily).

A project that has come true and thrills me, is the book "Conversaciones con grandes damas" ("Conversations with great ladies") that was launched in February 2003 with Ediciones Martínez Roca (Grupo Editorial Planeta). The copyright of this book is donated in its entirety to this NGO. The book consists of 25 interviews with great ladies of the Spanish world with a prologue by Mrs. Simoneta Gómez-Acebo de Borbón, honorary president of Apoyo Positivo. Here you may see photos of the book together with four of those great ladies.

Pilar González de Gregorio y Medina Sidonia, Duchess of Fernandina. One of the women with more glamour that I know of, and also intellectually brilliant.	Excellent Mrs. Countess of Latores, for me María Teresa Álvarez, writer and friend.

With the most excellent Mrs. Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, duchess of Alba, in the Palace of Dueñas, after the interview.	To Amparo Rivelles, great lady of the stage, I'm united with a mixture of love and fascination for her human quality and for her level as a performer.

Among all the book signing I use to do in the different "Ferias del Libro" (Book Fairs) and in malls, I particularly enjoyed a very recent one, in which I signed "Conversaciones con grandes damas" together with my dear friend Fernando Vizcaíno Casas, as clever and cultured man as can be.

When reaching ten years of voluntary work at Apoyo Positivo, my dear NGO, and in its name its President of Honor Mrs. Simoneta Gómez-Acebo y Borbón, paid me an homage for my untiring collaboration to the cause, for being the nr. 1 member, appointing me as "Volunteer of Honor".
